Wedding Invites for the Modern Bride

Personalising Wedding Invites

At Wedding And Gems Invites we offer to print your guests names on your wedding invitations for free.  If you’ve chosen the personalised option soon after paying your 50% deposit for your wedding invitation order (not samples), you’ll be sent a file for you to list your wedding guests. Once you open the file you will see a screen like the image below.

Put your cursor on the next line down and type the number 1, your 1st guest’s name, your 2nd guest’s name. Don’t forget to use a comma to separate the number and each of the guest’s names. On the next line down write the number 2, followed by the next set of guest names. I’ve done an example below, after writing each couples name, start on a new line.

As you can see from the image above it’s possible to write a number of guest combinations and even for invitations where there is only 1 person invited.
  • If you are inviting single people, just enter there name on a single line (eg numbers 7 & 8)
  • If you’re inviting a couple but you only know one of them such as Fred, write “Fred, Guest”. This will be printed as Fred and Guest (eg number 6).
  • If you want to order a few extra wedding invitations without them being personalised (because you know there someone you've bound to have forgotten just list the number (see numbers 9 & 10).
The use of the number before your guest names make it very easy for you to keep count of how many invitations you need and for us to double check that all the guests names are correct on the invitations.

Once your finished listing your wedding guests names save the file (click on File ->Save). Click reply on any of the emails sent to you from Wedding and Gems Invites and attach the file and send it. If you haven’t saved any emails from us please use the contact us link and we’ll let you know where to send the file too.
